Two non-negotiable commitments
- No wild-caught (WC) animals. Repti.net is for captive-bred animals. If you suspect a listing is WC — report it.
- Rehoming is not a marketplace. The rehoming flow exists to help animals that need a new home, not as a free marketplace. Never ask for a price in a rehoming listing.
General tone
Treat others how you want to be treated. Assumptions about people's experience, skill or motives are rarely right and never help the conversation. Be curious, not snidely ironic.
Listings
- Describe the animal accurately — species, age, sex (if known), health status.
- Photos must show the actual animal, not stock images.
- No import trade of CITES-listed species without permits.
Safety
Use Repti.net's messaging for first contact. Meet in a public place the first time. Don't trust payment links outside established services (Swish, bank).
Consequences
We start with a conversation, move to a warning, then a pause, and close accounts for repeated or serious breaches. You see every decision under My cases and can appeal.
Reporting
Every post, profile and listing has a flag button. Use it instead of getting into fights. The mod team looks at everything.
